OK, I can change reality
After seeing the movie "What The #$Bleep*! Do We Know!?" I believed it was time to start changing my reality. I believe we have the power to impact how our lives roll out and how we experience our universe. (Curious, when I first typed that sentence I typed "how our lives role out") Interesting, huh.
Anyways, with that in mind I wish to start this blog to celebrate the ways in which life just works out, in spite of my incompetence. Hopefully, just as it was stated in the movie, I can change my reality and in turn, change my universe.
One author in the movie spoke about how he starts his day. Basically he begins his day by visualizing how he will make his day turn out. Then, he asks that he recognize unmistakeably when his reality was altered.
So, in a sense, I tried this out today. I tried to think of good things and I tried to visualize a way in which my world would be different. I don't think I have the visualizing and the meditating part down yet, but I do think my world was altered just a bit.
Silly as it may seem, I was changing the diaper of my two year old. She was not happy about the diaper change and the diaper was a stinky mess. She kicked just at the moment when it was being lifted away. Dripping and now turned inside out, this diaper went flying and I thought, "oh no, this is going to be a mess to clean up".
But, it did not land on the floor. Instead, somehow this diaper flew, stopped and dropped right into the garbage can. I had decided earlier to put a new grocery sack liner in this garbage can, and watched as this gooey, poopy diaper dripped it's way to the bottom of that sack. Amazed, I was struck immediately at how there is no way to explain it. I was sure this diaper was on it's way across the room, but I was wrong.
I believe my moment of visualizing good had made the difference.
I know you might think this is corny, and you might not believe. That's OK. Try your own experiments and post here what your reality is.
